The very notion of Feminism is imprecise here. A lot of people Don't know what it is, How it works, the objective, the ins and outs of it. Little knowledge that they have is worse than ignorance. Most people who refer to themselves as PROUD FEMINISTS are actually FEMINAZIS.
A true feminist is a humanist . The core idea of feminism revolves around empowering the opperssed women and creating opportunities in professional and educational fields that are equal to men.
A Feminazi on the other hand believes that women are superior and It's absolutely ok to hate on men .
Now here is where the Feminist goes wrong, the Feminazi takes control and erodes Feminism, Jeopardizing equality.
1- The Free Bird !
Now this one wants to roam around on streets go to places they Don't even know about at 2 am with a bottle of beer in one hand a cigar(That they might not even like it ) in another after getting completely baked. It's OKAY TILL HERE (at your perils) now these amazing people want you to join them without giving it a second thought because why not they do the same in the WEST AND WE MUST APE THEM! ( Herd Mentality) And if you raise your concern you're just a conformist and support patriarchy, Aren't contemporary and should’nt exist. Toxic much
I will only step out late at night if I know I am with people i can trust, blindly (Alone,if i have a good knowledge of self defense), I am sober(Although i am a teetotaller), I am aware of the place i will be going to and If I comfortable with it . Under no circumstances shall i compromise on my safety and well being. I am pretty sure if i had a brother or I would have been a man The above mentioned things would have been taken into Consideration. But that doesn't make me any less of a feminist?
2. In your face, The Radicals
This one would burn her Bras, These are the same people who will make a show of their Sanitary Napkins (Make sure everyone notices them) They will Swear atrociously MORE than they regularly do in front of New people so they give off this cool feminist i- Don't- give- 2-shits vibe. They will raise questions like
“Why are we even wearing clothes ?”
“ We Don't want men to treat us like queens. Fuck Chivalry.”
“Why should i do the laundry ?”
“You wear makeup to seduce men.”
I don't fully identify with this picture but some of it does make sense….
They will glorify their period.They have this Radical fanaticism about everything and everywhere.They can stoop down to any level just to seek a shred of attention .Honestly it's embarrassing for me…All this that they do has got nothing to do with Feminism
Don't burn your bras, and make a big deal out of it if you don't wish to use them, Donate. If you really want to brag about your grip and mastery in Condoms, Pregnancy, Periods and Sanitary Napkins and Sex join awareness camps ,educate young children about all of it .You don't need to be so over dramatic and make a federal case out of it .If you want to wear a bikini to a marriage and a Saree to a beach go ahead!
3. Double Standards.
A couple of days ago this famous personality had issues with women who worked even after having kids because apparently Women are meant to sit at home take care of their children once they are born. Maybe she didn't mean what she said. But this needs to be talked about, Let the chips fall where they may!
Women were not educated earlier let alone education they were denied basic human rights , they were conditioned to take care of their families and do the daily chores and they were happy with it (some weren't) because they were accoustomed to it. But now that people have become apprised of women's rights, Do you really think that it's OKAY for them to sit at home after marriage and use nothing of their Education ? I mean it was a compulsion earlier but not anymore. Equality should not be superficial. Why do you have to DEPEND on someone else's money? Just like brushing your teeth, eating your meal, taking your exam EARNING YOUR MONEY NO MATTER THE AMOUNT MUST COME NATURALLY TO YOU.
Being financially independent is one of the greatest achievements and most realistic forms of empowerment in a woman's life. Your parents have educated you , tried to give you the best of everything , just so You can stand upon your feet one day.
(I didn't mean to disrespect anyone . As i said i respect all the Homemakers, I have them in my family too. But time has changed and so has our mindset so millennials choosing not to work is something i find disturbing not that it's Immoral or effects someone else but sorry to say that's not equality.
Feminism stands for EQUALITY.
We need to make everyone cognizant of women's rights and help them practice the same.
This is what Feminism demands.
